Removal
1.
Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
2.
Remove the crash pad lower panel.
3.
After loosening the mounting nuts and then remove the knee airbag (A).

4.
Disconnect the knee airbag harness connector (A).

Installation
1.
Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
2.
Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes.
3.
Connect the knee airbag connector.
4.
Tighten the knee airbag mounting nuts.

Tightening torque :
7.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

5.
Install the crash pad lower panel.
6.
Install the crash pad side cover.
7.
Reconnect the battery negative cable.
8.
After installing the knee airbag, confirm proper system operation:
A.
Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should be turned on for about six seconds and then go off.
